What is Hospice?
Hospice is a special kind of care provided to people with life-limiting illnesses as well as their families and others who are close to them. Hospice seeks to maximize the quality of life by controlling pain and providing medical care and spiritual and emotional support to terminally ill patients and their loved ones. This is accomplished through an interdisciplinary team that includes physicians, nurses, social workers, counselors, therapists, home health aides and volunteers.

Why Work For Hospice?
Discover where health care is delivered as it was meant to be, using a holistic and family oriented approach where patients are cared for physically and emotionally, and family members and other loved ones are cared for as well.
Hospice provides care to patients and their family members and loved ones, enabling the hospice professional to touch many lives. Studies indicate that for every hospice patient served, 12 to 15 more people are directly affected.

  • Join a hospice team and join one of the few organizations today that utilizes a truly interdisciplinary approach to providing health care.

  • Hospice work is rewarding work because of the satisfaction that comes from knowing you're bringing comfort to people during the most difficult and frightening time of their lives.

  • Hospice is hard work, but it's work you will never regret. Hospice professionals are rewarded with treasured memories and they learn valuable lessons about life from their dying patients.

  • The demand for hospice professionals is high because of the nation's aging population. This is particularly true in Florida.

  • Hospices pay competitive salaries, provide good benefits and often offer flexible work schedules for their employees.
